The celebrity mum revealed that the bike was a “fabulous” birthday gift from her husband and that made both her and baby Layla “super thrilled and excited.”
She also added that even though her daughter is barely one, she took to the bike like fish to water.
“This girl, already felt comfortable with the bike when we went to test ride it. She knew it was gonna be exciting the minute she saw it! When she saw me riding, she wriggled to get out of Deon’s arms to reach for me,” wrote Sheila.
It seems that sweet baby Layla also has the same sense of adventure as her parents. As Sheila quipped, “I love love love her sense of adventure, like her parents!”
In the video, she can be seen happily waving at the camera as they ride the bicycle together. Sheila even shared it was their first time cycling with her on the baby carrier.
The actress expresses her excitement further by writing, “We are gonna have so much fun together, Layla. You serve as a reminder that I should work hard to maintain my physical ability and mobility, so we can have fun together for a really long time!”
The sweet mummy and daughter duo followed their first cycling trip with another one over the weekend.

As she shared in her latest post, “Went to Labrador Park on Sunday for some fun family time! Papa long boarded while Mama cycled with Layla. She’s so chill the whole way through, my cool daughter.”
The celeb mum also spoke about the even-present safety factor, especially with young babies. “I’m more kiasu than any of you when it comes to my daughter’s safety. Thanks but don’t need to worry for us,” she added.
Adding, that she didn’t make Layla wear a helmet as it isn’t advisable to do so for such a young bub.
“Those people who suggested for Layla to wear a helmet, I’ve read that it’s not advisable to wear a helmet below one, bcos their neck is not strong enough yet,” she noted.
We loved the duo’s sporting adventures and it only reminded us of all the routes that are now open for cycling with the family.
