The highly raved ‘camp-cation’ is back by popular demand! Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) is working with KKday, Asia’s leading travel experiences platform, for the second time to bring back Camp 1N this June Holiday. Camp 1N will be running on weekdays from 30 May to 24 June 2022.
Join us for a 2D1N escapade in the West to experience everything that’s uniquely SDC! Campers can expect back-to-back family-friendly activities that are curated into a fun-filled itinerary, guaranteed to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Programme Itinerary
Start off the itinerary with the specially curated ‘Army Days’ Experience by SDC, where adventurous young ones will have the opportunity to pick up survival skills. While the young campers try their hand at camo face painting, field cooking and basha tent pitching, adults get to relive memories of their days in the army, as SDC continuously strives to create exciting programmes for the public to learn more about the Singapore Story.
During the 2-day-1-night camp, campers will also get to enjoy SDC’s signature attractions. Experience the adrenaline rush in the Black Lake Laser Battlefield (Laser Tag), the multi-sensorial Black Lake Facility (Escape Room) and unlimited 4D simulator rides in the XD Theatre. Step into an immersive journey to learn more about the Singapore Story at the Permanent Exhibits Gallery – Through the Lens
of Time and the newly opened Sandbox. Nature-loving campers can also ride a pedal boat around the scenic Discovery Lake.
The fun does not stop after the sun has set. After discovering SDC in the day, it is time to complete the Night Mission Trail as a team through fun activities. Conclude the night with ‘Get Toasty by the Lake’, a cosy mini barbeque experience for campers to bond by the lake, under a blanket of glittering stars amidst the night sky.
Complete the camping experience by learning more about sustainability! On Day 2, campers embark on an Eco-Sustainability Tour where they get a hands-on microgreen planting workshop and bring home their very own DIY plant thereafter.
About the Camp
Registration for Camp 1N is based on a per tent basis. Guests can opt for the ‘Shiok’ Camping Experience (indoor tents) at $499 for SDC members and $599 for non-members, or the ‘Chio’ Outdoor Glamping Experience (outdoor camping by the Discovery Lake) at $699 for SDC members and $799 for non-members. Refer to annex on how to apply SDC membership discounts.
Each tent has a maximum capacity of up to 5 persons (2 adults and 3 children or 4 adults) for the ‘Shiok’ Camping Experience and up to 4 persons for the ‘Chio’ Outdoor Glamping Experience. Participants must be at least 5 years old and those below 21 years old will have to be accompanied by an adult (aged 21 and above).
The camp also includes a Welcome Camp Kit, family meals with a selection of choices for dinner and breakfast at Bottle Tree Cafe Restaurant, one complimentary parking coupon per tent, and other free and easy activities.
