Why Cheating Helped This Marriage

To many women, being cheated on will definitely spell the end of a relationship. But to some women, letting their husbands cheat could possibly be the answer to saving their marriage. Read on about the women who let their husbands cheat...just so they could stay married.

To the outside world, Nina and Andrew Baggaley of Britain seem like any other married couple.

They first met when they were 13, started dating when they were 17 and within a year they were engaged to be married.

It’s been almost 30 years since they stood on the alter professing their undying love and respect towards each other.

Yes, to the world, they do seem like any other married couple. Everything is rosy...except for the fact that Nina and Andrew have not had sex for the last 4 years.

With each other, that is.

Despite being happily married and completely devoted to one another, sex had become far too painful for Nina after Andrew was diagnosed with Peyronie’s Disease in 2007 – a condition that makes his penis curved at an odd angle. Things took a turn for the worse for the couple from there on.

“One evening, we were having sex when I felt a sharp pain down there. I tried to play down how much pain I was in [sic]... but I just couldn’t deny how excruciating sex had become for much longer.”

Since then, Nina refused to have sex with her husband.

But she knows that Andrew is a ‘typical man’ with typical manly urges therefore to keep her husband happy, Nina lets Andrew use escorts to fulfil the physical needs she can’t bring herself to meet.

“I don’t like him using escorts. I admit, it does bother me,” she told UK’s Daily Mirror.

“But Andrew is my soul mate and we have been together since we were just teenagers. I’m not going to let this ruin our marriage.”

Nina even believes that Andrew’s sexual activities with the escorts have actually helped their marriage.

“If he weren’t having sex with these escorts, Andrew might have been driven into the arms of another woman and leave me for good. And that’s the last thing I want to happen.”

“In a way, Andrew having his needs met by these women is actually helping us stay together.”

Meanwhile in Hollywood...

David Boreanaz of TV’s “Bones” and father of two admitted cheating on his wife, former Playboy Playmate Jaime Bergman in May 2010 when his then-mistress blackmailed him for an undisclosed amount of money. Boreanaz admitted that coming clean about the affair to his wife has been difficult but now, a year later their relationship is stronger than ever.

He said in an interview with TV Week that the affair has been “a bonding experience, in the long run” for him and wife and now they are “strong than ever.” It's definitely not unheard of that the emotional blow of an affair can be just the thing to wake up a married couple who's been emotionally disconnected.

Fidelity, schemedality...

Former professional mistress and author of “Sugarbabe ”, Holly Hill weighed in on this turbulent topic. The beautiful 40-something Australian with a psychology degree, spent a full year of her life as a well paid  mistress, seeking out married men eager for sex and romance they weren't getting at home.

"One of the main things that I have learned is that a woman that negotiates infidelity with her partner is far more powerful than a woman who is sitting home wondering why he's late from the office Christmas party," she said in an interview with CNN.

She believes that men, and even some women, are designed to cheat.

"We just have to be honest about the way nature created us, and we have to work with nature instead of working against her. This isn't rocket science. This is what every man already knows and I think what every woman deep down already knows.”

The trick of the game, she said, is to lay down the rules from the get go and keep honesty front and centre.

“After all,” she added, “It's better to walk the dog on a leash than let it escape through an unseen hole in the back fence.”
