Taiwanese Singer Vivian Hsu and her Singapore-based, Indonesia-born businessman husband, Sean Lee are among the many families who have been forced to be physically apart from each other in several parts of the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But as travel restrictions gradually ease, Hsu will finally reunite with her hubby after months, together with their son Dalton, who turns five in August.
In February this year, the Singapore-based star flew to Taiwan for the filming of the mystery series Who’s By Your Side. As travel restrictions were reinforced during her stay in Taiwan, the couple could not fly regularly to meet each other.
Taking to an Instagram post on 26 July 2020, the 45-year-old shared that she will be flying back to Singapore from Taiwan with her son. Both Hsu and Dalton are pictured in protective gear in a series of three photographs.

Her post wrote in Chinese: “We are flying! I will miss everyone. Even though I won’t be in Taipei in August, my new song will stay behind and keep everyone company!”
Apart from filming the drama series in Taiwan, the star also released a new single: ‘Yours Always’.
In her post, Hsu also mentioned that she will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period after reaching Singapore.
“We will be quarantined for 14 days after reaching Singapore. We will take good care of ourselves so you don’t have to worry. Wishing everyone and ourselves safety,” she wrote.

Many of Hsu’s followers wished the mother-son duo to have a safe flight home and wished the family a happy reunion.

In a separate Instagram post (26 Jul), Hsu lamented that she has not seen her hubby for quite some time: “It has been 5 months since the last time I saw my hubby…. anyone knows my feelings?”
She missed her husband so much that she asked him to send over two of his frequently worn T-shirts so that she could feel his presence around her.
The couple has also been communicating with each other every day through video calls.
While Hsu has Dalton with her in Taiwan then, she revealed in an interview with 8Days that did not get to see him quite as often.

Dalton was left in her family’s care in Taipei as the drama she was filming was in Taichung, located almost three hours away.
Hsu however, said that she makes it a point to return to Taipei once a week to see him.
