With the new restrictions in place, Mothers Day in Singapore was a little different this year. But celebrity mum Jamie Yeo still received a simple yet incredibly sweet gift from her husband and kids.

As a way to celebrate and express their gratitude for mummy, her kids Alysia and Luke created a short video captured by their own dad. Despite having to go through multiple takes, the siblings managed to share their heartfelt message to their mum.

While it was touching for her two kids to greet her, their squabbling at the beginning made the video all the more adorable.

It might have been Mothers Day in Singapore and the rest of the world, but actress-model Sheila Sim took the chance to appreciate her own daughter instead. In her recent Instagram post, Sheila opened up about what she felt for her very first Mother’s Day as a new mum.

“I’ve never really tried hard to be anything in my life, except being a mom. It matters so much to me that I’ve been so privileged to be chosen to bring up a little human,” Sheila wrote about her baby girl Layla.

She added, “The best gift for Mother’ Day, really is just being able to witness her journey everyday.”

We’re sure all other first-time mummies can relate to Sheila’s heartwarming and sincere words to her daughter.

Even the simplest Mother’s Day gift can be the most precious thing for a mum. Especially when you know there was a lot of effort put into the gift. In Diana Ser‘s case, her daughter took it upon herself to make a collage of their pictures through the years.

Diana shared their memories through an Instagram post where she wrote, “How did I get so lucky[?]”

“Happy Mother’s Day to all mommies!” Diana remembers to add at the end of her post.

Many mums during Mothers Day not only in Singapore but everywhere else probably got a greeting card from their kids for the occasion. But even so, each handwritten and heartfelt message personalised just for you is still the best thing to receive as a mother.

In an Instagram post, Zoe Tay shared a handmade Mother’s Day card she received from her sons. This, along with a fake pink flower taped to it and a sweet note that read: “This is a fake flower it is like my love for you it will never die!”

Sweet is an understatement!
