Feeling Spent? One Woman Shares a Self-Care Hack on TikTok That Helps You Reclaim Your Day

In a world that often demands so much of our time and energy, it's crucial to prioritize self-care.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget self-care. And this woman’s “self care hack”, which has taken TikTok by storm, is helping people around the world reclaim their days and put their well-being first.

As we all know, it’s all too common to find ourselves feeling drained and disconnected from our own needs. We pour our energy into work, family, and countless other obligations, often neglecting the most important person in our lives — ourselves.

However, prioritizing self-care is essential for maintaining our mental health, reducing stress, and cultivating a sense of balance.

The Self Care Hack That’s Taking TikTok by Storm

Trina Merz, a 28-year-old holistic healing practitioner from Hawaii, and her friend Marouane came up with a simple yet effective self-care hack they call “saving the day.” The idea is to do one thing each day that makes you feel like you’ve reclaimed the day as your own, even if you’ve spent most of it working.

How to Implement the Self Care Hack in Your Daily Routine

Merz suggests reaching out to a friend and asking them, “Hey, how did you save the day?” Examples of “saving the day” activities include going for a surf, calling a loved one, taking a walk, cooking a delicious meal, or simply making a cup of tea and cosying up with a favourite book.

The key is to find something that makes you feel like you’ve had some space in your day.

The Impact of the Self Care Hack on Mental Health

Merz’s daily habit has inspired many to be more conscious about taking time for themselves. She explains that making an intention to find joy in your life is like strengthening a muscle.

By consciously correcting our brain’s negativity bias and focusing on the good in our lives, we can improve our mental health and overall well-being.

Prioritizing Self-Care in Your Daily Life

In a world that often demands so much of our time and energy, it’s crucial to prioritize self-care.

By implementing Trina Merz’s self-care hack and taking a few moments each day to “save the day,” you can reclaim your time, reduce stress, and improve your mental health.

Try incorporating the “save the day” self-care hack into your daily routine. Share your experiences with friends and encourage them to join you in prioritizing self-care.

Remember, even small acts of self-care can have a significant impact on your overall well-being. Start saving your day today!
