It’s very family specific. However, most doctors do recommend waiting at least 6 months after your first child to get pregnant again. Research has also indicated that it is ideal to leave an 18 to 23 month gap before having another baby.

Here are some other factors to consider:

1) Is your partner also ready?

2) Does your lifestyle allow for a second or third child?

3) Are you worried about your fertlility or above the age of 35? If so, you might want to get moving!

4) What does your heart say? If you and your partner both want a baby, then there is no better time than the present!
