Wanted: 9 to 12-year-old writers

Thinking of where to bring your young ones this March school holidays? Why not sign them up for this free creative writing workshop for children aged between 9-12 years old? ‘ENCHANTED JOURNEY THROUGH THE PAGES’ – Training our Next Generation of Budding Writers...

‘Enchanted Journey Through The Pages’ is the second Anchor Event at Media Fiesta 2011 organized by the Media Development Authority (MDA).

In light of positive feedback and interest shown at the e-publishing workshops held during last year’s Media Fiesta, the organisers have brought back the highly interactive and hands-on workshops that will reach out to children between 9 and 12 years old. The participants will be introduced to the new world of e-publishing and will expand their creative horizons through watching stories come to life with the help of dramatization and the latest ‘augmented reality’ technology and tools.

These highly-interactive sessions will give the children an opportunity to not only create original sequels to stories like "The Quest 2" created by National Library Board and the well-loved classic "Little Red Riding Hood", they will also learn essential e-publishing skills to enable them to publish their works online!

Event Dates: 13 - 16 March 2011 (Sun – Wed)
Session 1: The Quest 2 – 10:00am to 12:00pm

Session 2: Little Red Riding Hood – 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Note: Pre Registration for Public:

Sessions are free of charge. Pre-event registration is required at https://golibrary.nlb.gov.sg
