Suspects in Nayati Kidnapping Case Caught!

10 May, 2012
Suspects in Nayati Kidnapping Case Caught!

Great news for those following the Nayati kidnapping case, his suspected kidnappers, three men and one woman, have been arrested Kuala Lumpur.

Suspects in Nayati Kidnapping Case Caught!Police in Kuala Lumpur have arrested four adults believed to have been involved in the kidnapping of 12 year old, Nayati Shamelin Moodliar.

The three men and one woman are between the ages of 30 and 50 and were caught separately in Perak and Cheras, Selangor.

Malaysian police have also managed to retrieve more than RM 100 000 worth of the ransom money paid by Nayati’s parents, as well as laptops and cell phones that were used by the suspects during the kidnapping.

As the Moodliar family is currently away on holiday, police are waiting on their return so that Nayati can assist police in identifying the suspects.

Two men kidnapped Nayati on the 27th of April, while he was on his way to Mont Kiara International School.

Social networking sites like YouTube and Facebook were used to alert the public and appeal for his safe return. Nayati’s parents were contacted within 24 hours after his abduction and his parents had to pay a ransom of RM 300 000 for his safe return.

Hopefully, the arrest of Nayati’s kidnappers will serve as a deterrent to other criminals in the area who plan to make a quick buck off terrified parents!
