This is not a hoax! We have called the school in Malaysia to confirm and there was also a notice posted on the official Mont’Kiara International School website:
[stextbox id=”grey”]
“SCHOOL WAS IN LOCK-DOWN DUE TO THE ABDUCTION OF A GRADE 7 STUDENT, NAYATI MOODLIAR PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SCHOOL DAY.
ALL OTHER STUDENTS ARE SAFE AND ACCOUNTED FOR. ABDUCTED CHILD HAS NOT BEEN LOCATED. POLICE HAVE INFORMED THAT AMBER ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED.
FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED HERE WHEN AVAILABLE.”

Help spread the word on Facebook as well. Many people have done so. We hope that with the spread of this news, the kidnappers will be caught and the child can be located. The first 48 hours are crucial. Look at the post below:

Here is the latest update from the school by the principal

Good morning Parents:
As promised, it is the desire of the school to keep parents informed of the current dreadful situation regarding Nayati Moodliar. I have once again been in contact with the spokesman for Mr. and Mrs. Moodliar and have been advised as follows:
1. The Moodliar family are extremely grateful for all the support shown by the M’KIS family;
2. Nayati’s whereabouts are still unknown;
3. Efforts continue to deistribute ore posters, such efforts being conducted to get more leads into Nayati’s whereabouts;
4. The speculation and rumours on the internet can actually hinder Nayati’s return, so we urge evryone to please not post anything which is speculation based;
5. The Moodliar family will inform the school if there is anything more that friends/family can do.
6. The Moodliar family will attempt to give the school a further update by noon today.
In all matters related to this current situation, please be aware that the wishes of the Moodliar family will be respected.
Since M’KIS has the technical facility to do so, the school continues to act as a conduit for information from the Moodliar family to the parent community. Several of our parents have offered the services of their companies to facilitate a nationwide distribution of posters containing the image of Nayati along with relevant contact numbers. We are currently in the process of that since the parents have indicated they want the poster distribution effort to continue.
Parents have my assurance that all relevant information will be communicated as and when necessary and in any case I will provide an update at mid-morning and 5:00 pm every day.
Please be advised that counselors are available to all our children, both in group sessions and in individual sessions as necessary. Further, please be advised that a room specifically for the use of our parent community has been set aside. In grievous situations such as this, it is often that parents would like to talk and share feelings. Our Coordinator of Student Support Services is manning the new Activity Room so please feel free to drop by. Its a good idea to talk these things through with other parents. Coffee and tea are available.
Our onsite security remains in place. The mandate to provide security beyond the school compound has not been extended. I have noted an increased uniformed Polis Bantuan presence along Jalan Kiara since last Friday evening. I have a meeting with Sunrise officials, such meeting tentatively scheduled for 2:30 this afternoon.
If you have any questions, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
I continue to be incredibly proud of or students, our parent community and our faculty. Everyone has come through in fine form in this most difficult of circumstances.
Please continue to keep the safe return of Nayati to his family uppermost in your thoughts and prayers.
A further update will be provided at approximately 5:00 today.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Walter C. Morris
Head of School
