Stray dog rescues newborn who was left to die in the desert

A heroic canine rescued a newborn who was believed to be left to die in the desert.

It’s like a scene straight out of the movies.

Bystanders in Oman were stunned when they saw a stray dog carrying a newborn infant in its mouth, with its umbilical cord still attached.

The newborn was barely a couple of hours old.

They allegedly came upon the unlikely pair wandering near a hospital.

At first, they thought the dog meant to eat the newborn but he showed no signs of resistance when they took the newborn from his mouth.

It was as if he was delivering the newborn to them.

The story continues to develop as authorities try to get to the bottom of what really happened.

Where did the baby come from?

At first they thought the dog may have snatched the baby from a hospital but upon checking, no baby had been reported missing.

So the most plausible explanation is that the baby had been abandoned in the desert.
