March Holidays 

The year kicks off with the much-anticipated March school holidays. This break offers the perfect opportunity for families to rejuvenate after the start of the academic year. Whether you choose to explore Singapore’s cultural hotspots, indulge in outdoor adventures, or simply relax at home, the March holidays are a valuable time to recharge.

  • The first term of the 2024 school year will be until Mar 8.
  • The Term One school holidays will be from Mar 9 to Mar 17.

June Holidays 

The mid-year break is a favourite among students and parents alike. With an extended period of approximately five weeks, families can plan domestic and international trips, making the most of the time off. Consider exploring nearby countries, immersing yourselves in new cultures, or embarking on educational adventures that expand your children’s horizons.

  • Term Three will start from Jun 24.
  • Youth Day (Jun 30) is observed, the following Monday (Jul 1) will be a school holiday.

September Holidays 

The September holidays provide a well-deserved respite before the final stretch of the school year. As the summer heat gradually subsides, it’s an ideal time to embark on local staycations or short getaways. Discover Singapore’s vibrant nature reserves, visit its iconic landmarks or engage in educational activities that blend fun and learning.

  • On Sep 9, Term Four will begin for MOE kindergarten, primary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions.
  • Term Four continues throughout September.

December Holidays 

The year culminates with the long-awaited December holidays, offering an extensive break of around six weeks. This period allows families to plan extensive vacations, not only within Singapore but also abroad. Plan your itinerary to include festive celebrations, theme park visits, or an enchanting winter wonderland adventure.

  • JC Year Two and MI Year Three students will have their end-of-year vacation from Nov 30 until Dec 31.
  • The GCE O-Level results release is likely to occur between Jan 11 and 15. GCE A-Level results release is expected to be between Feb 23 and 27.

Term I Singapore School Holidays

The first term of 2024 kicks off with New Year’s Day on Monday, Jan 1. This is followed by the colourful Chinese New Year celebrations on Saturday, Feb 10, and Sunday, Feb 11. Schools will be closed on Monday, Feb 12, which has been declared a public holiday, and Tuesday, Feb 13, will be a school holiday and a designated day off-in-lieu.

Term II Singapore School Holidays

Term II begins with the solemn observance of Good Friday on March 29. This is succeeded by Hari Raya Puasa on Wednesday, April 10, marking the end of Ramadan. Labour Day follows on Wednesday, May 1, celebrating the contributions of workers. The term concludes with Vesak Day on Wednesday, May 22, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and death of Gautama Buddha.

Term III Singapore School Holidays

The third term features Hari Raya Haji on Monday, June 17, which honours the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The term wraps up with National Day on Friday, August 9, marking Singapore’s independence.

Term IV Singapore School Holidays

Term IV starts with Deepavali on Thursday, October 31, the Hindu festival of lights. The year concludes with Christmas Day on Wednesday, December 25, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
