The 2013 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results will be released on 22 November 2013. Students may apply for their choice of secondary schools through the Secondary One-Internet System from 11am on 22 November 2013 – 3pm on 28 November 2013.

What is the Secondary One (S1) Posting Exercise?

The annual S1 Posting Exercise, conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE), posts  Primary Six students who have passed their PSLE to a secondary school based on their results along with their school choices.

When is the Posting Exercise conducted?

The Posting Exercise is normally conducted from November, immediately after the release of the PSLE results. There are 3 phases from late November till December.

  • S1 Option Phase – This phase is for parents to submit their child’s options and/or secondary school choices after the release of the PSLE results.
  • School Posting Phase – This phase is for the posting of students to secondary schools taking into consideration their PSLE results, choices of schools and available vacancies.
  • Posting Results Release – This phase is for the release of the school posting results. Students are to report to their posted secondary schools on the next working day after the release of the posting results.

Find out how you can apply for the Posting Exercise on the next page!

How do you apply for the Posting Exercise?

Primary 6 students who have passed their PSLE, will receive a personalised S1 Option Form along with their PSLE results. Parents can use the Personal Identification Number (PIN) provided on the S1 Option Form to submit their child’s options and/or secondary school choices online – using the S1 Internet System (S1-IS) during the S1 Option Phase.

If you do not wish to make your selection online, you can also submit your child’s secondary school choices at your child’s primary school during the S1 Option Phase.
