PLAYtime! 2017 at Esplanade: fun & interactive theatre performances for the little ones

PLAYtime! 2017 is bringing local children’s books alive through performance. Put your dancing shoes on and Fatimah will enchant you with the powers of her magical socks. Go on this great adventure with her in an interactive theatre series at the Esplanade!

You don’t have to wait till the next school holiday to bring your kids out for some fun and learning. Henry David Thoreau wrote that “this world is but a canvas to our imagination” and one of the best ways to let your kids paint their canvas with performance art.

There is never a dull moment at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, as it is always filled with fun learning opportunities and experiences. Catch the PLAYtime! 2017 series of exciting interactive theatre shows, happening throughout the year. PLAYtime! 2017 brings local children’s books to life onstage through song, dance, and other visual effects!

Enter Fatimah, a little girl with the brightest smile on her face and feet that cannot stop dancing. You will want to tap your feet along to her contagious energy.

PLAYtime! 2017 at Esplanade: fun & interactive theatre performances for the little ones
Follow the story of Fatimah who meets a mysterious and magical lion one rainy afternoon and is transported into another world.

It takes her on a thrilling adventure where she meets a man who is frantically trying to find his one missing sock. Fatimah helps him in his search and while doing so, starts dancing with her pair of different socks.

In this newly discovered world of fun, Fatimah learns about friendship, laughter and the power of… magical socks!

She also helps the man realise that despite her two different socks, it is “okay to be different” and that one can always be happy being themselves even though they are different.
