Job application nightmare

Miss Zakia never expected to receive an offer for sex, when she interviewed for a position as a child-care teacher.

26 year old Miss Zakia was offered a teaching position at a local daycare. Zakia who has a three-year-old daughter, met her 40 year old interviewer on Aug 3. Things soured as the job offer was rejected, as she wanted a higher salary. The administrator, who was married and has a six-month old daughter, started sending her a series of sleazy text messages over the next six days, with queries asking if she was ‘noti’ (naughty) to more lewd messages.

The last straw that drove Miss Zakia to lodge a police report was when the man told her to meet him for sex at a hotel in Aljunied. Police have confirmed that a report has been lodged.

The administrator showed remorse when contacted by The New Paper. He admitted that it was a deed done in a spur of the moment and he regretted doing so. He added that his wife is not aware of the incident.

According to the law, for insulting the modesty of Miss Zakia, he could be fined, jailed for up to one year, or both.

This incident has left Miss Zakia sleepless nights for fear of the children at the childcare centre. Her relationship with her boyfriend was also affected, but has since been resolved.
