Horrifying Moment! Mum Finds Thousand Of Creepy Black Balls In Kids' Cubby House

Horrifying Moment! Mum Finds Thousand Of Creepy Black Balls In Kids' Cubby HouseHorrifying Moment! Mum Finds Thousand Of Creepy Black Balls In Kids' Cubby House

"Please don't say they are termites,” she worriedly posted along with a photo of the balls

An Australian mum got the shock of her life when discovered thousands of creepy black balls inside her kids’ cubby house after it was left closed for three days.

Even more disturbingly, she had no idea what the horrifying objects were – or how they’d managed to get inside.

The small black balls had spread across the entire floor of the tiny house, with some even sticking to the walls.

Desperate for answers, she turned to Facebook for advice, asking if anyone had any idea what the mysterious objects could be.

“Please don’t say they are termites,” she worriedly posted alongside a photo of the balls. But unfortunately, no one seemed to have any idea what they were.

Facebook Weighs In On Mystery Balls

The suggestions quickly started rolling in, with fellow parents each taking a stab in the dark at what they thought the creepy balls might be.

One mum, while acknowledging that sounded strange, believed that they looked like poppy seeds.

“I used to pick them off my muffins and bread when I was a kid because I thought it was always fly poo,” she explained.

Insect faeces was exactly what other commenters were convinced the balls were – with other people arguing that they were “too shiny” to be poo.

Another person suggested they could be tick eggs, but this was quickly dismissed by someone else who shared that “you would need a magnifying glass to see and identify tick eggs” as they aren’t “visible to the naked eye.”

“Try and squash one. If it doesn’t squash or fluffs back up, could be from a toy. If it pops could be an egg, if it crushes into dirt or dust it could be poop,” another parent wisely suggested.

Experts reassure Australian mum she doesn’t have termites

Then the experts jumped on to offer their opinions, with a pest controller reassuring the mum that black balls weren’t termites.

In fact, he was convinced that they didn’t come from a bug or insect – but instead might be pokeweed seed “hoarded by a mouse”.

Yulian Siderov, a pest control expert and head of Services from Fantastic Services Australia, told The Sun that he didn’t think the balls were tick eggs.

He explained that while they did look similar to both snail and stinkbug eggs, “it’s very doubtful” that is what they are.

“Without being able to touch them and see what their texture is like, [it’s hard to know for sure],” he added.

“But on first look, it doesn’t look like pest eggs, more like seeds. It’s a hard choice between synthetic confetti balls or poppy seeds.”
