Dinosaurs are back to save the future at Zoo-rassic Park!
If your kids love dinosaurs, bring them to Zoo-rassic Park to get up close and personal with a T-Rex and other cool pre-historic creatures!
When my 4-year-old daughter found out that we were going to see dinosaurs at the zoo, she asked if they were “real life dinosaurs”, but I told her that these were realistic animatronics because real dinosaurs are already extinct.
“What stinks?”, she innocently asked me.
So I explained that if something was extinct, it means that there are no more of them left on this earth — like dinosaurs.
Singapore Zoo and River Safari currently have an impressive display of realistic pre-historic dinosaur animatronics that can move and roar, in a bid to raise awareness about the possible sixth extinction we may be facing as many animal species are being wiped out at an alarming rate.
Within the last 50 years, we have already lost 67% of our world’s biodiversity and there is a growing list of critically endangered animals that are at risk of becoming extinct.
Venture through the amazing Dinosaur Valley where you can spot a tall Tyrannosaurus Rex, a tough Triceretops, a screeching Iguanadon, a fierce Spinosaurus, a spitting Dilophosaurus and many more!
Learn more about other critically endangered species that are facing extinction such as the beloved Orangutan, majestic Sumatran Elephant, adorable Pangolin, and beautiful South China Tiger, just to name a few.
If you bring your kids to the zoo on a weekend between 26th November – 18th December 2016, they can also take part in the fun dinosaur-themed activities. Some of the highlights include:
Dino Meet and Greet
Want to get up close and personal with the zoo’s T-Rex and Velociraptor friends as they wander around the park with their dinosaur keeper? Keep a look out for them at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm!
Fossil Finding Fun
Dig for (bony) treasures with your pint-sized paleontologists in search for hidden dinosaur fossils from 10am – 4pm.
Dino-themed craft activities
After trekking around the park, any time between 10am – 4pm you can let your little ones sit down and craft a few jurrasic creations such as dino masks, dino pegs, and fossil-making.
What stinks? Animal extinction stinks!
