Cameron Diaz’ dating life has been highly publicised in the past but now that she’s settled down with musician Benji Madden, it seems like her romantic life has been pretty low-key.
She stopped by Andy Cohen’s radio show on Sirius XM as part of a press tour to promote her new book Longevity where she was asked about her past loves.
“Nothing matters now that I have my husband,” the 43-year-old actress gushed. “I don’t even remember any of that. Like that’s the thing, that’s how I know he’s my husband because no one compares.”
The couple wed in an intimate ceremony in their living room in January 2015 after being engaged for nearly three months.
“Getting married is the next step when you are totally in love and comfortable with someone,” a source told PEOPLE shortly after news broke out about their low-key wedding. “Cameron has found true happiness.”
In attendance were the couple’s closest family and friends, including fellow celebrities Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Nicole Richie, who introduced the two to one another.
Though it was a big wedding, it was reportedly quite intimate. “It all felt very down-to-earth and sweet. Guests arrived smiling and almost seemed giddy,” reports PEOPLE. “Everyone was excited to be a part of the wedding.”

Cameron said she knew right away.
In the past, people would tell her that when you find your perfect match “you just know when you know”. She didn’t understand what it meant until she “just knew” Benji was the one.
It wasn’t just love at first sight but at second sight
They met at a barbecue at Nicole Richie’s house. (Nicole is married to Benji’s twin, Joel Madden. They rose to fame as part of the pop-punk band Good Charlotte.)
“The first thing I saw when I first met my husband, I was like he’s hot!” exclaimed Cameron. “We had just never been in the same circle, then I saw him like a year later, I saw him again, and I was like wait a second, still hot.”
Everything around her just pales in comparison to how her life has changed since getting married.
“You realize like, ‘Oh right, this is what the real thing is, this is what real love is and this is what commitment and devotion is,’ ” she marvels. “This is the person that you build your life with, and for me, it’s like the rest of everything else just kind of like dissolves.”
