The news of local actress Sheila Sim and Deon Woo’s adorable baby girl swept her Instagram followers’ hearts with her heartwarming post. Sim announced her pregnancy on 27 April and ever since, we’ve been following her motherhood journey.
In a heartfelt letter to her daughter, Layla, who was born on 22 September, Sim said, “I love you. I loved you before we met. And I’ll love you for the rest of my life. Thank you for choosing us. You’re the best thing that happened to me.”
2. Jayne Tham & Vernon A

Celebrity couple Jayne Tham and Vernon A welcomed their second baby, Niall, and shared the good news on 23 November through Vernon’s morning show Muttons In The Morning. Jayne also made an announcement through her Instagram account and shared pictures after her successful delivery. The influencer and mother of two said she felt her pregnancy this time around was “super chill,” but later revealed said she cried the moment she saw him.
She ended her post with the sweet words, “Thank you for completing our family, Niall ❤️ We love you.”

Gold 905 DJ Mike Kasem and his TV present wife, Su-Ann Heng, had a brand new addition to their family earlier this year on 25 June. The world first had a glace of their first-born, Casey Patrick Kasem, through the couple’s individual Instagram profiles.
“It’s been quite a journey so far, but wouldn’t have it any other way. Our hearts are so full, and we are so in love. I can’t stop smiling,” wrote Su-Ann in her post.

Local celebrity couple Tay Kewei and Alfred Sim also had their second baby boy this year, on 28 June. Singer Tay Kewei shared the happy news on her Instagram with the whole family together to welcome Momo’s little brother. The couple had announced their second pregnancy through a music video written for their son, ‘Momo Ai Zhe Ni’.
The happy mummy of two shared her excitement as she wrote, “…gonna be an adventure with 3 boys in the family!”
5. Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake

Hollywood actress Jessica Biel and pop star Justin Timberlake just confirmed earlier this year that they are now a happy family of four. While the couple has not released any further information, former N’Sync member, Lance Bass, confirmed to ET that the couple indeed had another baby, who “is cute course, it’s Justin and Jessica!” Earlier this month, host Jimmy Fallon announced he, too, has met the baby who is “adorable and already funny.”

The Goodwill Ambassadors of UNICEF and popular celebrity couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom announced the birth of their baby daughter through a congratulatory post on UNICEF’s Instagram profile. The Fireworks singer broke the news to her fans about her pregnancy through her previous music video, Never Worn White, where she had proudly revealed her baby bump.
Both Katy and Orlando expressed their joy for their newborn baby girl, Daisy Dove Bloom, as they said, “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”

Another one of the Jonas Brothers is officially a father! Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner welcomed their first baby daughter, Willa this year as confirmed by their reps to People. The celebrity couple had a private wedding last year and has since been happily married. Since earlier this year, Sophie has been sharing posts proudly showing her baby bump having millions of her followers excited for the delighted new mum.

Hong Kong actress Tavia Yeung and actor Him Law received a “gift from the heavens” as they announced the birth of their baby daughter through an Instagram post with the entire family together. The happy couple got married in October 2016 and this is their very first child together.

He and his model wife Carina Zhang announced the great news on Weibo back on 26 September as Raymond wrote, “The first time I felt the continuation of life was the first time I held you and felt your warmth and breath. Adorable baby, you have given me the motivation to fight on.”

EXO’s Chen took everyone by surprise when he announced that he was already engaged and expecting a baby at the start of this year on 13 January. The K-Pop star shared the news to his fans through Lysn with a handwritten letter to thank everyone, as well as his fellow band members who he said had congratulated him for the happy news.
SM Entertainment confirmed that Chen and his wife had welcomed the birth of their baby daughter on 29 April.

Ah Boys To Men actor Maxi Lim and his influencer wife Lizy Teo just had their first child this year on 29 August. The happy couple shared photos of their baby boy in their respective Instagram accounts.
Lizy shared three adorable videos and one precious photo of their newborn baby Reign with the caption, “Omg omg I finally understand how mummy feels like when they see their baby. Im soooo in love halp 🥰 “.

Another Hong Kong celebrity couple brought a new life to the world this year. Hong Kong singer-actor Kevin Cheng and TVB actress Grace Chan welcomed their second baby, Yannick, and happily shared the great news on the actor’s Weibo account on 3 August. Grace then shared on her own Weibo account where she wrote, “1 + 1 = 4, love brought us together. Welcome, little prince!”

South Korean Actress and Winter Sonata star Choi Jiwoo announced that she had given birth to her baby through an announcement released by YG Entertainment on 16 May. While they did not disclose the name of her child, the company confirmed that both the new mummy and baby were fine after the delivery. She has been married to her husband since March 2018 and this is their first-ever child together.
15. Lim Peifen

YES 93.3FM DJ Lim Peifen and her husband Wei Xang just had their second baby as announced by Lim through an Instagram post. The new happy mummy captioned her post as “Hey Jude”, most likely in inspiration to the well-loved Beatles song where their new son is named after. The couple have another son named, Luke, and announced they were expecting earlier on 20 July.
