Shattered mum of Lion Air crash victim saw bad omen before tragedy

The recent aeroplane crash in Indonesia shattered many families. One heartbroken mum remembers seeing a bad omen before the tragedy...

By now, we have all heard of the aeroplane crash in Indonesia that sealed the fate of all 189 passengers on board. Lion Air flight JT610 from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang crashed into the Java sea 13 minutes after take off on 29 Oct 2018. There were 2 infants and a child onboard.

The stories of the victims and their families have started pouring in, and they are heartbreaking.

One mum remembers seeing a bad omen just 2 days before the tragedy.

Mum sees bad omen before aeroplane crash in Indonesia

Sometimes things happen and we don’t know why. Is the universe trying to tell us something?

A shattered mum of a flight attendant on the ill-fated Lion Air flight says she saw an “omen” that warned her of the tragedy.

Two days before the incident, on 27 Oct 2018, mummy Sukartini found that a zebra dove had dived into the water tank on the second floor of her house. She managed to save the bird and put it in a cage.

She had no idea then that bad fate was to befall her only daughter, Alfiani Hidayati Solikah, who had been working as flight attendant for just 2 months.

Alfiani’s house has been plunged into doom ever since news broke out that all 189 passengers may have perished in the tragedy.

Her father, Slamet, refuses to watch the news on TV.

“I was watching the TV earlier. I just couldn’t stand it anymore,” he says.

The family awaits official news from the government.

It is sad to see Alfiani’s posts on Instagram. One of them is a picture with her colleagues.

She writes that she is not perfect but she enjoys every moment of her life, and keeps smiling both in good and bad times.

Ironically, Alfiani’s Instagram followers have grown to more than 10 times after the crash…

Update on Lion Air crash

Meanwhile, more and more heartbreaking visuals of the Lion Air crash are emerging, as bodies and belongings continue to be recovered.

The body of a baby has been retrieved, but there was no head, hands or feet.

“For the infant, I saw only the body, no head, no hands nor feet”, says photographer Willy.

We cannot even imagine…

In another crucial development, Indonesian divers have retrieved a black box on 1 November 2018. The black box can provide vital clues on what went wrong with the aircraft.

We hope that in the coming days there will be more concrete information on the tragedy. The families of the victims deserve to know what happened to their loved ones.

Praying for all.
