In addition to the fireworks, heartlanders will have a chance to witness a spectacular display of patriotism with the Singapore flag fly-past. Two Chinook helicopters will carry out the flag fly-past from approximately 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on August 9, 2023. The helicopters will follow two routes, covering various heartland areas in Singapore.

The Western Route includes Woodlands, Choa Chu Kang, Jurong, and West Coast, while the Eastern Route includes Bukit Timah, Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Tampines, Changi, Bedok, and Marine Parade.

Aviation enthusiasts can also look forward to a thrilling flypast by a formation of ten aircraft, including six F-16D+ and three F-15SG fighter jets. From 5:40 pm to 6:10 pm, the jets will soar above the vicinity of five heartland sites: Jurong West, Woodlands, Toa Payoh, Tampines, and Bedok, adding excitement to the National Day celebrations.

Enjoy Family-Friendly Activities, Live Performances

Before the main event, heartlanders can enjoy community festivals held at the heartland sites from August 5 to August 6, 2023. These festivals, taking place from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, offer an array of activities and programs suitable for all ages. Some of the highlights include sports tryouts such as athletics, basketball, floorball, football, hockey, table tennis, and tennis.

Participants can also engage in experiential activities like archery, skateboarding, roller skating, Nerf games, and Zorb ball. Families can have a blast with bouncy castles, community mural painting, snack booths, and traditional Kampung games. Live stage performances will further enhance the festive atmosphere, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all attendees.

The heartland festivals are going to take place at the same heartland sites designated for the fireworks display: ActiveSG Bedok Sport Centre, Jurong West Sport Centre, Toa Payoh Sport Centre, and Woodlands Sport Centre on both August 5 and August 6, 2023. Our Tampines Hub will exclusively host the festival on August 6.

Festival Sites and Ticketing

Admission to the festival sites will be ticketed based on the respective site capacities. More details on obtaining tickets for the Heartland Festivals can be found on the NDP website starting from July 12, 2023.

Basically, get ready to ignite your senses and ignite your patriotism! Don’t miss the explosive extravaganza of National Day Parade fireworks lighting up the heartlands on August 9. Will you be there to witness the sky ablaze with brilliance?

Save the date and join us for a night that will leave you in awe. Bring your loved ones, embrace the magic, and let the dazzling display create memories that will sparkle forever.

So, are you ready to be dazzled by the fireworks of a lifetime?
