My child has a lot of toys and his toys are all over the place! Will you be able to advise on the type of cupboard that I can look at, for storage purposes

This is a question that we often encounter with lots of parents . To hide stuff like toys, books nice and neat, I would suggest you work with heights. Consider a system storage wall unit that resembles the cubby-hole compartments familiar to preschool kids, this will help to free the floor space. It can have some with door panels, some with shelving and some open that caters for most types of storage items.

A toy chest can make a fine storage bench for younger children, but make sure it has a safety hinge. For extra space, shop for furniture that doubles up with extra storage space, eg. A bed trundle for storage, or cover a round table with a floor length tablecloth and stash items underneath when necessary.
