Doctors say that they shouldn’t really be blamed when they are reluctant to check on every pregnant woman who thinks that she is in labour. Most of the time, these emergencies turn out to be false alarms. Mrs Clark was empathetic with doctors but she was definitely annoyed because their nonchalance almost brought harm to her baby.
It’s definitely true that a lot of pregnant women go to the hospital thinking that they’re in labour but aren’t. But what if a woman’s really in labour and a doctor sends her home?
