Why your husband is not interested in sex

Has your sex life been suffering lately because your husband does not seem to be the least bit interested in sex? While there are many possiblities which could explain his perculiar behaviour, here are 5 possible reason which might explain your husband's attitude towards sex with you.

He is cheating

If your husband has been disinterested in sex lately, many women automatically assume that their man is probably having an affair. Infidelity is definitely a possibility as your husband might be satisfying his sexual desires with another woman which explains his lack of interest in you.

Watching too much porn

Pornography could be another possibility. Watching pornography is often accompanied by masturbation and thus a man who watches pornography regularly will probably masturbate too. Thus, this would explain his lack of interest as he has found another avenue to release his sexual urges.

Low sex drive

While men usually have higher sex drives than women, cases of wives with a higher sex drive than their husband are not uncommon. The cause of his low sex drive could be due to low testosterone levels as a result of alcohol or drugs. It might also be natural as your husband might just naturally have testosterone levels below average.

Low self esteem

For many men, being good in the bedroom is a crucial factor in determining their self-esteem. If your man has been having problems keeping his erection in the bedroom lately, he might be avoiding sex with you as a way of dodging the issue. In addition, if your husband has been going through a rough time lately such as problems in his job, it might adversely affect his perception of his manhood. Thus his low self-esteem might spill over to affect your sex life.

He is gay

In China, it is becoming an increasingly common phenomenon for gay men to marry women and their wives are completely in the dark about their husband’s sexuality. According to a report on the shanghaiist website, 70% of gay men in China marry women due to societal and parental pressure. While this phenomenon is not very apparent in Singapore, there are definitely cases of it here as well. This scenario is more likely to happen if your husband comes from a conservative family where he is under tremendous pressure to keep up appearances.
