SINGAPORE—There is no greater pain than losing your child, and Singapore influencer Melissa Koh can attest to that.

On April 7, Melissa Koh announced on Instagram that her toddler son, Asher Matthias Chen, had died. She posted an Instagram story about the details of the wake which was held from Apr 5 to 10 at the Church of St Mary of The Angels.

Melissa Koh’s toddler son, Asher, was only one year and nine months old when died due to a heart condition.

Asher was born on Jun 17, 2021, and diagnosed with a condition that made him undergo open-heart surgery. After one month, he went through another surgery to fix his low oxygen levels.

Melissa Koh and her husband, James Chen, are open about their son’s health updates. From time to time, the couple posted on their social media about Asher’s progress.

On March 30, Melissa Koh hinted on an Instagram post that Asher is not doing well with her caption, “When all things seem humanly impossible, God please work a miracle. We’re not ready to lose you, baby Asher. You’re our joy and our light.”
