Laugh Out Loud with Tom and Jerry's New Asian Escapade in Singapore

Childhood memories return! Tom and Jerry head to Singapore for an epic adventure! Premiere this August, be there!

Tom and Jerry, the iconic cat and mouse duo loved by generations, are set to embark on a new adventure in Singapore. Warner Bros Discovery recently announced the launch of their first-ever localized Tom and Jerry series in the vibrant Asian city-state.

This animated series, produced in Asia, promises to be a delightful treat for both children and parents alike. With its premiere episode scheduled to air this August, fans can look forward to enjoying seven three-minute shorts that infuse the classic 1950s animation style with a modern Singaporean twist.

A Singaporean Twist: Tom and Jerry Take on Asia

Warner Bros Discovery has crafted this unique series with a touch of nostalgia, combining the iconic music and classic animation style from the Hanna-Barbera era with the dynamic charm of Singapore. Christopher Ho, the Head of Kids – Southeast Asia at Warner Bros Discovery, expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting that the series would showcase distinctive landmarks, backdrops, and a vibrant atmosphere that is quintessentially Singaporean. This infusion of Asian culture and creative talent will undoubtedly breathe new life into the beloved Tom and Jerry canon.

Homegrown Creativity: Collaborations Across Asia

The magic of this new series extends beyond just its Singaporean setting. Aum Animation Studios India handles the animation, while the stories and designs come from Singapore-based Robot Playground Media and Chips and Toon Studios. This collaboration across different Asian regions exemplifies the universal appeal of Tom and Jerry and showcases the richness of creativity in Asia’s entertainment industry.

A Multinational Premiere: Debuting on Cartoon Network and HBO Go

Excitement for the new Tom and Jerry series will ripple across the entire Asian region. The premiere will air on Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific and HBO Go in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The series’ reach will then expand to an international audience, ensuring that Tom and Jerry’s timeless charm entertains fans worldwide.
