You’re probably thinking, fat-burning and peanut butter? No way! It’s true, folks. Peanut butter possesses the wonderful combination of fiber and protein (2 and 8 grams per serve) that helps you stay full for longer! This, along with all the goodness peanuts are packed with make peanut butter the healthier indulgence.

Blend:

• ½ banana • ½ cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter • ½ cup almond milk • 1 cup ice

As simple as that!

Blueberries are stuffed with antioxidants and are considered a super food. Antioxidants help combat free radicals in your body (toxins that build up when food is broken down or from the environment). So get blending!

Combine: • ½ banana • ½ tablespoon flaxseed oil • ¼ cup fresh/frozen blueberries • 1 tablespoon honey • 1 teaspoon psyllium husk • 8 ounces of water

Watermelons are 90% water, so if you don’t particularly enjoy drinking water try this! Because of their high water content, watermelons are low in calories and fat although they keep you nice and full!

Blend: • 6 cups chopped watermelon • 1 cup lemon sherbet or frozen low-fat vanilla yogurt

Mojito-styled, this smoothie will take the heat off any day! Cucumbers contain vitamin B, which will do you more good than a cup of coffee for a pick-me-up. They’re also packed with lignans (a type of chemical compound) that have been related to cancer prevention.

Blend: • 2 small cucumbers • 6 ounces Greek yogurt • 2 teaspoons honey • ½ juice of a lime • 3 ice cubes • pinch of black pepper

We’ve already told you how great blueberries are for you. Now, throw in the benefits of green tea. Green tea helps stimulate your metabolism that speeds up weight loss. To top it off, green tea enhances your energy levels and endurance if you’re working out!

Combine:

• Tea from 2 green tea bags in ¾ cup water, cooled. • 2 cups blueberries • 12 ounces fat-free yogurt • 3 ice cubes • 2 tablespoons crushed almonds • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
