Struggling to come up with a place to visit this weekend? How about Sungei Buloh Nature Park?

Sungei Buloh Nature Park is a wonderful hideaway in Singapore. The perfect spot for nature lovers.  Over 500 species of flora and fauna call this park home. Migratory birds from as far as Siberia also do a stopover during their winter escapes.

You can also spend a peaceful day in this wetland nature reserve if you are big on bird watching. The park has boardwalks through mangroves and freshwater ponds, and observation “hides” to look for birds such as herons, kingfishers, bee-eaters, and migratory birds. Keep your eyes peeled for big monitor lizards and tree-climbing crabs (the crabs climb the mangrove trees to avoid being eaten).

Don’t forget those binoculars now!
