Study Says: Parents Who Have More Kids Gain More Happiness

Study Says: Parents Who Have More Kids Gain More Happiness

A team of researchers from the University of Glasgow shows that having more children may mean more happiness for married couples.

A recent study shows that kids are actually a source of happiness for married couples. The report says that the more children, married couples have, the happier and satisfied they will be with their lives.

Dr. Luis Angeles of the University of Glasgow says that the result of their study is contrary to many research findings that say children can cause unhappiness and dissatisfaction in the lives of people. These negative effects are often linked with the burden that goes along with child rearing.

Dr. Angeles reveals that when they asked people to enumerate the things that are very important for them, “children” was at the top for many. The marital status of the parents was the significant factor that made the result of this study different from previous findings. Interestingly, the study shows that it was particularly the mums who really grew happier as the number of children in the house increased.

So couples, if you want to be happier and more satisfied with your lives, then have kids. The more, the merrier!
