Sonogram shows baby holding hands with her dying twin brother

It was an amazing comfort to their parents to see them there for each other despite the tragic news

Despite the tragic news that one of their twins would most likely not survive birth, a couple has found comfort knowing that their babies are there for each other, even while in utero. An incredible sonogram shows baby holding hands with her dying twin. As if to let her twin brother know she’s there for him, we see her clutching his hand as they rest peacefully in their mother’s womb.

Due to a hole in his heart and an abnormal brain, chances for survival are slim. But Ian and Brittani McIntire of Hutchinson, Kansas take comfort in knowing that the twins will be there for one another.

If, by some miracle, he does make it through this ordeal, doctors plan to perform a Cesarean section.

They’ve named the twins Madilyn and Mason.

“His only chance of survival would be heart surgery but they wouldn’t do heart surgery on him because of his brain,” Brittani told CBS news.

The McIntire’s also have two daughters

“We know we have a piece of them together that will last forever and it’s special to have,” added Brittani. “She’s the only one who can actually be there and holding onto him through it. So it’s comforting to know that if he does pass, he won’t be alone.”
