Some Must-Dos For Women To Stay Healthy

For women who want to live long and healthy lives, The Sunday Telegraph has some advice for you. These suggestions were made based on the One Million Women study conducted by researchers from the Oxford University in England.

According to researchers, oral health and heart disease are closely linked. Germs in the mouth can cause clots in the arteries which can lead to heart attack. The best way to fight plaques and cavities is to drink green and black teas as they can reduce oral bacteria. Of course, you shouldn’t add sugar as it can counter the beneficial effects of tea.

Have as much aerobic exercise as you can to release hormones that promote good health. Exercising can also make women look younger and feel happy. And as you’re exercising, try to expose yourself to “good sunlight” at least 20 minutes a day to get an adequate dose of Vitamin D. This vitamin has many benefits for women such as reducing risks of polycystic ovarian syndrome, depression and bone loss.

Avoid drinking colas and alcoholic drinks. Of course, we all know why these types of drinks are bad for our health. Women should eat lots of green, leafy vegetables as they are rich in folic acid. This nutrient can help prevent miscarriages and reduce risk of blindness. And most important of all, women should constantly wash their hands to prevent disease-causing germs, viruses and bacteria.
