With Singapore entering the September school holiday period, there are some amazing activities you can try with the kids!

Kids in Singapore are probably already excited about the September school holidays that are just around the corner! With an entire week off school, there is plenty of time to participate in various fun-filled activities.

From holiday camps, workshops, to exciting events; kids can certainly be kept active and creative during these Singapore September school holidays.

To get you started on what they can do during the break, here’s a guide to kid-friendly activities in the month of September.

1. Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay

From 4 September, Gardens by the Bay will be holding a Children’s Festival featuring Art-Zoo Wonder Gardens. Kids will surely jump with joy to see the larger-than-life inflatables through the Wonder Gardens. 

Join Bruno Bear and Little Kong along with their other animal friends and explore the outdoor trail while taking part in some fun activities at the gardens. 

2. Coding Camp at Coding Lab

Keep your children’s minds active during the Singapore September school holidays by signing them up for Coding Lab‘s multi award-winning curriculum. You can expect camps to help them develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills. 

Kids as young as 4 to 6-years-old can learn about Animation, Robotics and Play-Doh circuits. For those aged above, there are also various programmes for Game Development, App Development and a Young Computer Scientists programme. 

3. Dance away with the kids at Esplanade’s Footwork

If you’ve got a little dancer at home, Esplanade is offering a series of dance-play workshops for Footwork 2021.

Help your kid dance their way into Singapore’s September school holidays with these programmes that perfect for those aged 3 to 6 years.

4. Explore the great outdoors with Nature Explorers

Have your kiddo experience an actual camping trip with Nature Explorers as they will be offering holiday camps for this year’s Singapore September school holidays.

Kids will get to explore the great outdoors and learn more through a wide array of nature-based activities such as pitching tents, climbing, knots and ropes, exploring nature trails, and survival skills among others!

5. Go on an adventure at the 398.2 Storytelling Festival

Brought to you by Storytelling Association (Singapore) and Public Libraries Singapore, the 398.2 Storytelling Festival is inviting kids and parents to some exciting sessions with fascinating stories told by talented storytellers such as Kausar Karimi, Akila Krishnakumar, and Nancy Leppard.

Best fit for children aged 4 to 9-years-old, have your child dive into the world of fairy tales and folktales from the safety of your own homes.

6. Have a sweet time at the newly-opened Museum of Ice Cream

The much anticipated Museum of Ice Cream finally opened its doors to visitors in Singapore! Enter the surreal world of scrumptious sights, sweet sounds, tasty treats and entertaining play.

In its brand new opening, you can expect the sweetest attractions such as the Museum of Modern Ice Cream, Marble Run, California Dreamin,’ Scream’s Diner and Inflatable.

7. Indulge in some of your favourite food at Singapore Food Festival

The Singapore Food Festival has also arrived at the perfect time, coinciding with the September school holidays! For its 28th edition, the theme is ‘Savour Singapore In Every Bite.’

As the only local festival dedicated to supporting local cuisine and F&B talents, there will be more than 50 gastronomic and drinking experiences.

Visitors can expect both free-to-view and paid masterclasses with some of the country’s most well-known chefs as well as curated walking tours.
