Once again, everybody in the country can witness and see the heart of Singapore. The return of the beloved Singapore Night Festival features more activities enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

Like earlier celebrations of the Singapore Night Festival, the activities offered this 2022 focus on multidimensional arts and heritage.

Not just that, Singapore Night Festival will also allow the community to showcase their creativity and love for their culture. It also allows them to reveal their worlds and ownership of their heritage.

Are you feeling a bit more excited to participate in the event? You should be! Because Singapore Night Festival welcomes everyone in the country! Tourists and locals alike flock to the weekend-long festivities and activities offered.

Come and expect a vibrant and eclectic experience rooted in the country’s heritage. People will definitely appreciate the event’s projection mappings, light art installation, performances, food, and much more!

To tickle more of your excitement, here are seven activities you may enjoy upon attending the Singapore Night Festival. Do not hesitate to bring your friends, loved ones, or family.

After Hours @ My Bras Basah With May Hui  Discovering things at night could be fun and exciting when you visit After Hours @ My Bras Vasah With May Hui! You might want to try to join May Hui and explore the history of iconic buildings in Bres Basah.  You may also uncover the stories of different people who made a mark in the history of Singapore and the world. Furthermore, you may walk through Bras Basah Complex and hear the memories and stories of the old bookshops in the area.  Time: 7 PM to 8:30 PM When: August 19, 26, and 27 Location: National Museum of Singapore Ticked Price: S$22.00

After Hours @ My Bras Basah With May Hui

Discovering things at night could be fun and exciting when you visit After Hours @ My Bras Vasah With May Hui! You might want to try to join May Hui and explore the history of iconic buildings in Bres Basah.

You may also uncover the stories of different people who made a mark in the history of Singapore and the world. Furthermore, you may walk through Bras Basah Complex and hear the memories and stories of the old bookshops in the area.

Crossing to the Past

Good thing the younger generations are definitely familiar with Minecraft. Allow the whole family to witness the revel in the past and present of Armenian Street in a virtual work with Minecraft.

Participate in the Crossing to the Past so that you may learn about the history of Armenian Street. Every family member can experience a fun learning activity upon attending this event.

Armenian Street Party by Various Artists

Do you and your family are looking for something more entertaining? Good news! The Armenian Street Party by Various Artists is child-friendly, which makes it perfect for the whole family. 

Upon attending the party, you can enjoy a plethora of performances in a warm and inviting setting. Visit their website if you want to know more about the artist line-up each day.

Celebration of Life+Style by Justin Lee

The Celebration of Life+Style by Justin Lee is one of the child-friendly events you can attend during the Singapore Night Festival. It is a sculptural installation presented as a metaphor to investigate the prevailing social and cultural norms in the country.

Location: Stamford Arts Centre

City of Books by Fish Jaafar

The City of Books by Fish Jaafar features artist impressions courtesy of Fish Jaafar. The city of books is a large-scale anamorphic pavement mural.

Meanwhile, Fish Jaafar is one of the prominent people in the country. He is a Singaporean visual artist,w which is known for producing large-scale works with conceptual accessibility and relevance to the local community. We encourage you to attend the event if you want to know more about him.

Madeleine by Lueur

Do you want to know more about Bras Basah Bugis? Come and see drawing inspiration from the themes of memory and nostalgia at Madeleine by Lueur. 

You can also see the animated display in a vivid pop art style. Additionally, it shows a curious hornbill flying across the precinct’s history, arts, places, homes, and prominent religious structures.

When: August 19 to 27
Location: Stamford Clock Tower

FēCundus by Twardzik Ching Chor Leng

The FēCundus by Twardzik Ching Chor Leng can be fun and exciting for kids. They may play and interact with the inflatables representing rice kernels, rings, and rice plants. Depending on their imagination, they may squeeze and combine the shapes to form other organised sculptures.
