Singapore Bird Park, also known as Bird Paradise, is set to captivate visitors with its enchanting avian wonders. Opening its doors on 8 May 2023, this magnificent park offers an extraordinary experience for nature enthusiasts and families alike. Let’s explore what awaits you in this avian haven.

 

Immerse in the Symphony of Colors at Bird Paradise

Enter a world of vivid colours as you meet some of the world’s most endangered bird species. Bird Paradise is home to a variety of fascinating creatures, including the majestic Philippine Eagles and Negros Bleeding-heart Doves, as well as the attractive Straw-headed Bulbuls and Black-winged Mynas. Keep a look out for Blue-throated Macaws and the Socorro Dove, both of which have been spared from extinction thanks to conservation efforts.

Explore the park’s eight giant walk-through aviaries inspired by various worldwide environments, where you’ll find the world’s largest human-cared Hornbill population. Predators on Wings and Wings of the World, two new avian presentations at Sky Amphitheatre, will take flight, presenting a new format while keeping cherished features from Jurong Bird Park’s prior shows.


Keeper-led Experiences and Behind-the-Scenes Tours: A Glimpse into Avian Conservation

Bird Paradise offers close encounters as well as educational possibilities. Visit the Avian Healthcare and Research Centre for special tours and see the veterinarian experts in action as they care for the birds. Explore the cutting-edge Avian Breeding and Research Centre, where you’ll see vital conservation breeding programmes for Asian Songbirds, vulnerable parrot species, Birds-of-Paradise, and more.

Feeding sessions with intriguing bird species such as Starlings, African Hornbills, and Barbets are available at the park, allowing visitors to participate in this beloved activity while also contributing to conservation efforts funded by the Mandai Wildlife Group.

 

Dining, Retail, and Sustainability: A Perfect Blend at Mandai Wildlife West

Adjacent to Bird Paradise, Mandai Wildlife West is a hub of delectable dining options and sustainable shopping experiences. Enjoy garden-themed interiors and eco-friendly practices as you indulge in a variety of culinary delights. Luke’s Lobster, Leckerbaer, and Mr Holmes Bakehouse coexist in a flagship multi-concept store, while Birds of Paradise presents a Gelato Boutique and Sandwich Bar. Embrace the fusion of flavors at A&W, Collin’s, Han’s Union, and Pavilion Banana Leaf.

For eco-conscious individuals, Unpackt, Singapore’s home-grown zero-waste grocery and lifestyle store, offers a unique shopping experience. The precinct also promotes sustainability through charging stations for electric vehicles, recycling bins, and initiatives to minimize plastic waste.

 

Special Soft-Opening Rates and Membership Offers

Bird Paradise will open to the public from 8 May 2023, operating daily from 9am to 6pm. During the soft opening period (8 May to 26 May 2023), special discounted admission rates apply:

    • $38 for adults
    • $23 for children (aged 3 to 12 years old)
    • $20 for senior citizens

Pre-booking of admission tickets and add-on programs can be done via Klook, starting from 24 April 2023.

Regular admission prices will be in effect from 27 May 2023:

    • $48 for adults
    • $33 for children (aged 3 to 12 years old)
    • $20 for senior citizens

Local residents can join the Friends of Wildlife membership program, starting from 24 April 2023:

    • Provides year-round access to all four wildlife parks, including Bird Paradise
    • Offers priority privileges, exciting wildlife experiences, and special benefits such as F&B and retail discounts
    • Annual fees start from $195 for Friends of Wildlife and $245 for Friends of Wildlife Plus.

Complimentary WildPass digital membership is available, providing discounts of up to 30 percent on admission, F&B, and retail.

Pre-booking and membership options allow visitors to enjoy a seamless and cost-effective experience at Bird Paradise.

 

How to Get to Singapore Bird Paradise

Nature lovers and animal aficionados will appreciate Singapore Bird Paradise’s convenient location in Mandai. Whether you prefer public transit or a private vehicle, getting to this amazing bird sanctuary is a breeze.

The particular bus route to Bird Paradise for individuals travelling by bus has yet to be decided. Visitors are recommended to check the most recent bus services and itineraries in order to plan their trip accordingly.

If you’re taking the MRT, you can get off at any of the stations listed below. You can then get a connecting bus that will take you directly to Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
