Sex secrets of satisfied couples

You could blame the media for always depicting happy couples with wonderful sex lives after years of marriage. Whether you’ve been married for four months or 40 years learn from these six secrets of satisfied couples.
1. They have perfected the art of the quickie

1. They have perfected the art of the quickie

We're not saying you should lock yourselves in your rooms and never leave, but a frequent quickie helps to keep the fire burning. The reason for this is possibly that a lack of sex creates a vacuum of desire which could possibly lead to pent up frustration directed towards your partner.
2. They take it out of the bedroom

2. They take it out of the bedroom

One of the secrets to great sex with the same partner is to shake up your routine. Try exploring different rooms of the house (before the kids come home from school). If you’re one of the more daring couples, take it outdoors. Secluded areas that preserve your modesty, however!
3. They have realistic ‘sexpectations’

3. They have realistic ‘sexpectations’

Sex is not supposed to be perfect every time and try not to expect great performances from your partner all the time. Stress, moods and illnesses affect the best of couples at any time. Cut him some slack and try to focus more on enjoying each other's company instead.
4. They go on ‘staycations'

4. They go on ‘staycations'

You don’t have to relive your honeymoon by going overseas. Try booking a weekend away in a local hotel (after you have sent the kids to stay with relatives). The time away from the drone and stress of everyday life and getaway for awhile - or at least feel like you are.
5. They surprise each other

5. They surprise each other

Don’t be afraid to try out new sex positions, erogenous zones or experiment with sex toys. There’s always a chance to make a new discovery about your sex life. Figure out what your partner likes while letting them know what you enjoy. You'll find yourself more comfortable with one another as well!
6. Sleep on it

6. Sleep on it

This is because staying up late and trying to resolve an argument is often pointless and futile. This unresolved conflict can sap your desire. Go to bed and deal with it in the morning when you have had the time to cool down and reflect on it a little more.
