In a video shared by Virgin Galactic as part of their livestream of the launch, Richard Branson sent an inspiring message to all kids around the world – all the while at zero gravity. Groovy!
Filled with excitement with their successful launch, Branson said, “To all you kids down there, I was once a child with a dream looking up to the stars. Now I’m an adult in a spaceship with lots of other wonderful adults looking down to our beautiful, beautiful earth.”
“To the next generation of dreamers, if we can do this just imagine what you can do,” said Branson to all children dreaming of reaching the stars, just as he did.

The Successful Launch Of Virgin Galactic Is History In The Making
The 70-year-old set the record as the first to make his journey with a commercial spaceflight company. Unlike other companies, Virgin Galactic launched their spacecraft from a carrier craft.
Travelling along with three Virgin Galactic mission specialists, Richard Branson set off in the company’s SpaceShipTwo craft “VSS Unity.” This was carried by WhiteKnightTwo aircraft to an altitude of 50,000 feet.
In fact, the mothership aircraft named after his mother called VMS EVE was launched on Sunday afternoon (11 July).
When VSS Unity ignited its own rocket, the four passengers were over 50 miles above Earth. They experienced weightlessness and were able to observe the curvature of our planet’s surface.
After a successful launch, they reentered the earth’s atmosphere and landed at Virgin Galactic’s spaceport America base in New Mexico.
