11 reasons why Singapore is the happiest country in Asia

Despite our reputation as materialistic culture ( one with a constant pressure for us to achieve the 5C's - cash, car, condo, cow credit card and country club) - most of us are quite happy living here in Singapore. With a maximum of a five minutes wait for trains, I'd say we are pretty efficient when it comes to public transport.
6. We have a competitive, corruption-free, open business environment

6. We have a competitive, corruption-free, open business environment

We have become a knowledge-based economy today. This, has in turn, attracted several multinational investments. And when you're progressing well in your career, chances are you'll be pretty satisfied on the whole!
7. We have dining and shopping as the two most popular activities in Singapore.

Good food and a wide selection of shops. Two of the most natural activities to keep that happiness alive.
8. We are a safe country to live in

Crime rate is one of the lowest in Singapore. In fact, it it is still pretty safe to wander the streets late at night on your own.
9. We're an easy country to adjust in when relocating from elsewhere
