Valentine’s Day is the day of love and we can’t help but reminisce on that moment our spouse proposed. The rush we felt seeing the ring for the first time and saying ‘Yes’, knowing this was the man we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with.
And since we are in the mood for love, we couldn’t help sharing our favourite proposal videos that have since gone viral on YouTube. They are sweet, elaborate and entertaining.
We hope you enjoy and had a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Will you Meme…marry me?
This innovative proposal happened in Malaysia, in November 2011 and has garnered over three million views on YouTube. It was also mentioned and tweeted by American idol host Ryan Seacrest who said he shed a tear! The video uses popular internet memes to describe how Timothy (the guy) felt about his girlfriend Audrey. Watch the video below and we guarantee there won’t be a dry eye once the video ends.
Making the movies jealous
I remember watching this in May 2011 and I have to admit, I was bawling by the end. (Yes, I’m a sucker for romance). Here was a guy who literally swept away the competition with his marriage proposal which was…a movie trailer! It was an incredible, romantic gesture that was funny, incredibly sweet and yes, better than the movies! And the over 25 million views is testament to that.
I’m falling for you
This proposal is more crazy than romantic but you have to give it props for novelty and risk! Watch out for the girlfriend’s reaction in this one! The video has so far received over eight million views.
Let me tell you in a love song
This proposal is elaborate, fun and Glee-spirational! Set the the smooth tunes of Bruno Mars, ‘Marry You’, the girl sits in the boot of the car while a whole team of her friends and family act and lip sync to the song before her boyfriend emerges at the end. The video has hit over 17 million views on YouTube and it’s not hard to see why.
Apple knows best!
This creative proposal is hilarious and smart. It sets out to be an Apple iPhone advertisement set to the guys original song and we got to applaud him for utilising a lot of the Apps that he had on his phone. This video has since gotten over a million views.
