Photography for kids
Any plans for the kids this December holidays? Cultivate your little photographer’s picture-taking skills by signing them up for these year-end workshops!
Objectifs, a photography centre on Arab Street that has been offering photography classes for adult and schools for the past eight years. Due to popular demand, they have started offering children’s workshops during the school holidays as well! This December, two workshops are featured:
1) Santa Craft! Creating your own photo gift (For Ages 8 to 12)

Go on a guided field photoshoot in the vibrant and and colourful Arab-Bussorah Street for a morning of fun and exploration! Learn how to use a point-and-shoot camera and explore ways of capturing life around with composition techniques in this workshop. From people to still-life and buildings, every subject can be photographed creatively!
Students will also be given the time to work on layout and presentation of selected prints to make unique Christmas gifts ranging from cards to photo frames and t-shirts.
2) My Facebook Story (For Ages 8 to 12)

Learn to shoot and share a visual story on Facebook in one morning! Instruction will be provided on camera-handling and composition, and participants will be given ideas, themes and props to create their own visual story.
Participants will also go through a quick brief on basic touch-ups and digital editing in Photoshop before finally uploading and caption their photos on Facebook – visual story with the most number of “likes” will win an exciting Lomography Oktomat 8-pictures-in-1-frame camera!
