Top 7 Quirky Things Only Parents Of Twins Can Relate To

Having twins makes parenthood a whole new game, from double the amount of groceries to double the responsibility!

Being parents to twins has its perks. You get double the love, double the joy, and double the… responsibility? While being a parent to one feels like an already special job, here are some things that only parents of twins can relate to.

In no particular order, we break down the top 7 things that only parents of twins will understand!

7 Things Only Parents Of Twins Will Understand

#1 You will get the question, “Are they twins?” pretty often

They could be side by side in the stroller, and people would still ask if your twins are, well, twins.

#2 When one falls asleep, but the other will not

What could be worse than one cranky baby? Two cranky babies. Should you be able to successfully get one to fall asleep, getting the other to fall asleep at the same time is no easy task. If you’re lucky, they’ll both go to sleep at the same time. If you’re not, then may the odds be ever in your favour.

#3 You’ve developed muscles from carrying both twins at the same time

Call it superhuman strength and skills, I call it ‘not making two trips’.

#4 You buy things in bulk

groceries

Never again will you purchase singled item groceries. Good things come in twos, they say. Those ‘buy 1 get 1 free’ deals will definitely come in handy.

#5 Double Trouble

Twins tend to team up when it comes to causing mischief. It’s as if they can read each others’ minds. As this means it’s two against one, be ready for any sort of pranks or tricks your little tots have up their tiny sleeves!

#6 Changing diapers will never be the same again

It’s pretty hard to change one’s diaper and watch out for the other one. It takes focus, speed, and lots of practice!

#7 When you receive only ONE toy as a gift

You know a war is going to break out between the two of them, which would lead you to either: 1) Hide the toy or 2) Break up a baby wrestling match.

Being parents to twins is a unique experience, and the craziness will get better. Experiencing double the laughter and happiness will make this journey an unforgettable one, in which you’d probably wish you could do it all over again.
