#1 Aquamarine

Located at a prime tourist attraction, Aquamarine serves Halal Asian and International buffet at Marina Bay Sands. The restaurant also has a glass-enclosed kitchen where chefs can display their skills for the patrons.
Buffet items include international favourites such as Steamed Live Prawns and Black Mussels. Their Asian cuisine features some of our ultimate favourites: Black Pepper Crabs and for desserts, Durian Pengat and Kueh Kuehs. Apart from the buffet, Aquamarine’s ala carte menu has been receiving much recognition with their Jumbo Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice being food raver’s best pick.

#2 Bumbu

This well known Thai-Indonesian restaurant currently has three outlets islandwide. Menu items include favourites like Green Curry and Tahu Telur. Apart from that, they also have a dessert menu that includes items such as Kueh Kuehs, Sago Gula Melaka and Chendol.
Heads up, the Farrer Road outlet is usually less packed as compared to the ones in the town area; Bugis and Telok Ayer. For more information, visit their website.

#3 Le Steak by Chef Amri

Le Steak was opened by celebrity and French-trained chef, Chef Amri and serves – yes, you guessed it – steak, amongst other western cuisines. Chef Amri is also a popular TV personality, with appearances on cooking and variety shows on Suria.

Spize serves a wide range of menu items, consisting of cuisine ranging from Indian, Malay, Chinese and Western. Its outlets are mostly crowded with people, and a waiting queue is often expected, even after midnight!
A must-try menu item would be their Spice Star Burger. For just $8.90, all traces of hunger pangs will cease to exist as this huge burger consists of a big juicy handmade beef patty, a (runny) sunny side egg, slice of cheese and a dash of BBQ sauce. Badoque is one of the few restaurants found along Upper Thomson, and is located alongside popular neighbours Salted Caramel and The Prata House. The business started in 2008 and has since seen the looks of both young and old eager to have a taste of Greek and Mediterranean Cuisine. Must-try items on their menu include Shabsouka and Baby Lobster Au Gratin.

#6 Hjh Maimunah Restaurant

Hjh Maimunah Restaurant goes way back. It was established in the 90s and has been serving authentic Kampung-style Malay dishes and snacks. Must-try menu items include Juicy Sundanese Grilled Chicken and Sambal Goreng. They also have dishes that are rarely served in other Malay Nasi Padang stalls in Singapore such as Oxtail Soup and Lemak Siput.

Probably one of the most well-known restaurants selling Halal dimsum in Singapore, Tang Tea House currently has two outlets and both are swarmed with customers every night! Their menu items include Golden Egg Sand Bun, Pineapple Fried Rice, their signature Crispy Bee Hoon and more.

#8 Rasa Istimewa Waterfront Restaurant

Rasa Istimewa Waterfront Restaurant is located at Woodlands Waterfront and we all know what that means; savouring on good food with a view! As it is located right at the waterfront jetty, the Johor skyline is visible right from the restaurant itself!
Their menu items consist of local seafood dishes such as Fish Head Curry, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Sambal Sotong and more. They also serve western, hotplate and satay! There’s bound to be something that you’d like.
