Mum gives birth to quintuplets: “No amount of pillows were enough”

Perth mum was shocked when she found out that she was pregnant with not 1 or 2... but 5 kids at once, when she was hoping for another baby boy!

Kimberly Tucci experienced a sudden bloom in the family as the number of kids she has rose from 2 to 7 in a single day.

The 26-year-old gave birth to a five-some – a boy and 4 girls, safely.

This journey was not an easy one for her, where Mrs Tucci stated that “no amount of pillows were enough to support to her back and belly, which was so stretched it was painful and hot to touch”. The discomfort involved body aches, reflux, sleeping difficulties and having to retire to the bathroom 12 times a night.

The mum shares her stories on her Facebook Blog, Surprised by Five and its 170, 000 followers.

Kimberly credits her husband for being a strong pillar of support, stating that “[w]ithout him I would have broken down a long ago”.

“My husband always reminds I should wear my stripes with pride and that I should be proud of them and what my body has achieved,”

-Kimberly Tucci
