While the Red Dot Design Museum may be temporarily closed at the moment, you can still bring the kids along the playground located right beside it. To find the building, just go to the junction of Marina Boulevard and Bayfront Avenue.
For a more specific address, the Marina Bay playground is at 11 Marina Boulevard Singapore 018940. You’ll be happy to know that it’s also 24 hours open every day!
During your visit, make sure to bring some extra water for kids as they may definitely need something to stay hydrated while playing under the sun.
If you’re staying for a long time around the area, you can also bring your scooters and bikes to explore the marvellous views of Marina Bay.
The Different Play Structures You Can Find At The Play Area

You’ll find that the Marina Bay playground is actually quite small but its play installations definitely make up for its size!
Instead of the usual slides and swings, this playground offers some unique climbing features that will have your child put their physical skills to the test.
The playground contains open pyramidal-shaped structures made from metal tubes with flexible sheets and guide ropes. This allows the kids to climb over them and travel from one side of the sculpture to the next.
Parents may be relieved to find low hammocks attached at the bottom of each of these play structures, ready to catch your little ones, lest they take a wrong step.
There is also a rotating climbing structure where the kiddos can climb up to see all the breathtaking views of the bay. Meanwhile, as it is sort of a merry-go-around installation, caretakers can spin them around.
As it is made with a sturdy net installed, your child won’t be falling over as they play within the structure. But, of course, always keep an eye on them when they play.

If you visit the area now, it would be easy to find the playground as it has been given quite a bright update that stands out among the towering buildings of the city.
The playground recently had a colourful makeover as the play structures have been painted in the theme of animals. The wooden panels have been painted with familiar animals including a hornbill and an adorable pair of cubs.
Even the metal bars that hold up the play structures have been painted with some of our other safari friends such as the patterns of giraffes, snakes, peacocks and more.
With this brand new touch to the playground, why not stop by and have the kids indulge in some fun outdoor playtime!
