Love Thyself….Just as Much as You Love Your Partner

Most people in a relationship forget the main focus of the relationship, which is their own health and fitness. It is pertinent to note that a healthy body and mind will translate into a healthy relationship, both physically as well as emotionally.

It is important to constantly appraise yourself on various aspects of health, including sexual health. It is important to notice signs of any problems either in your body or that of your partner. Having an open communication channel where you can discuss health related issues is very important in all relationships. It is important that you are comfortable with yourself as well as with each other and can actually ask each other to go in for regular tests on various issues.

When in a relationship, testing yourself for sexually transmitted diseases, even if you are practicing safe sex, is very important. Make sure to take time out of your busy schedule and actually get both you and your partner tested. Make sure that you are in tune with yourself and can actually listen to the small signs given by your body.

Apart from testing for sexually transmitted diseases, it is also important to get a regular physical check up done along with either a mammogram or Pap smear or prostate examination done by your doctor in order to have a healthy relationship.
