Where: Local neighbourhood events

Price: Free entrance

There will be singing, dancing, and art-making at this community festival. Not only will you be able to enjoy special large-scale art installations, but kids and parents can get involved too!

Where: Hall B, Science Centre Singapore (SCS)

Price: $20 for adults and $15 for children, inclusive of SCS entry (regular price is $12 for adults and $8 for children)

Want to know what it’s like to be swallowed? This exhibition promises to help you do just that, plus so much more!

Where: City Square Mall

Calling all Barney fans! Here’s your chance to catch everyone’s favourite purple dinosaur along with Baby Bop and BJ in a live show!

Performances run every day (except Monday) at L1 Atrium of the mall. Jump into a world of imagination and prepare for lots of fun, singing and dancing!

Where: United Square Shopping Mall

If your kids love sports and ‘getting dirty,’ then head on down to the Nickelodeon Slime Cup, which is back for another slimey year! There are lots of slimetastic games in store for everyone, including the Nickelodeon Dad’s Challenge – a special activity for Father’s Day!

5. Holiday Mocktail Workshop

Looking for something that all the family can try together? This unique hands-on workshop may be just up your alley!

8. Behind the Scenes Tour at Singapore Zoo

Date: 21st to 29th June 2014 (Daily), 10am – 4pm

Where: Singapore Zoo and River Safari

Price: Non-Members: Adult $39, Child $29 / Members: Adult or Child: $11

The Singapore Zoo is giving us the chance to go behind the scenes to see how the keepers care for the animals on a daily basis. It’s certainly a not-to-be-missed event if your kid is an animal lover.

Where: Science Centre Singapore

Price: Standard entry fee of $12 for adults and $8 for children

Singapore’s first children’s science centre opens just in time for the holidays. KidsStop is a science centre dedicated to children and aims to make science fun again through an interactive playground.

There are activities for kids ages 18 months to 8 years old – featuring a variety of topics from dinosaurs to food production and nutrition. Plus, kids can enjoy exploring a 9-metre climbing structure, and so much more!

10. M1 Chinese Theatre Festival - Nini in Changi Village

10. M1 Chinese Theatre Festival - Nini in Changi Village

Date: 26th June – 5th July 2014

Where: The Singapore Airlines Theatre, LASALLE College of the Arts

Price: $28

Now in its 3rd year running, the Chinese Theatre Festival is showing this great performance suitable for kids aged 5 and over.

Performed in Mandarin with English subtitles, it follows the story of Nini who lived with her family in one of the shophouses in Changi Village in the 1960s. More info here.

Get involved in wildlife workshops during June, plus have fun with the different activities at Singapore Zoo — from live performances to crafts, animal trails and yoga!

Date: 2nd – 6th June 2014 at SAFRA TPY / 9th – 13th June 2014 at SAFRA Jurong (9.30am-5.30pm)

Where: SAFRA

This camp is aimed at 6-12 year olds and is themed around friendship. Kids will be able to make new friends and learn about racial harmony through teambuilding exercises and games.

They’ll also burn off all that excess energy running around the cool indoor play area, learn the history of kite-making and so much more!

Children from 4-9 years old can take part in this great educational programme in the beautiful setting of Gardens By The Bay. Kids will explore different areas of the gardens to find out about plants, flowers, birds, bees and other interesting facts.

Kids can be a space cadet in this fun activity for 3 to 12 year olds. Watch as they embark on a mission around the store to complete their space report card and receive a $5 IKEA Gift Card. Plus, there is chance to win a free bedroom makeover worth $10,000.

Other activities include a build a spaceship or space suit workshop using recycled materials and the opportunity for their drawings to be made into a real-life soft toy!!
