Almost everyone wants to be healthy nowadays. Well, at least most of them are trying to! Healthy eating has been on the rise and finding a restaurant that serves healthy yet awesome food can be a feat. These restaurants on our list serve tasty food that are more than just the salads and brown rice.

Oh, did we mention that they come with kid menus as well?

Afterglow believes that healthy eating shouldn't be associated with bland and boring presentations. Their menu items are presented so beautifully that you would even have second thoughts on eating them! Afterglow also organises food workshops where you can learn about the preparation and importance of healthy eating with your family and friends.

Operating hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays: 12pm - 2.30pm and 5.30pm - 10.30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 5.30pm - 10.30pm

GÆST serves food that are mainly inspired by modern Nordic cuisine and their sandwiches, coffee and homemade sodas have seen queues forming to the extend that booking is recommended to avoid disappointment! Their must-try item would be the salmon sandwich that is best accompanied by a lemon and thyme soda.

Being Singapore's first and only Mediterranean vegetarian restaurant in Singapore, Original Sin's menu is filled with tasty, healthy Mediterranean cuisine such as the Turkish Flat Bread which is the homemade yoghurt flat bread with sautéed served with mushrooms thyme, Spanish onion, spinach and creamy goat cheese. They also come with an affordable kid's menu that has mains from $8.

The Lawn is Singapore's only Specialty Grill and Salad Cafe that allows customisation of salads. Here, you can choose a base, grills dressings and toppings for your own creation. Their grills include Butter Seared Pacific Dory with Parsley Rub and Aceto Balsamico Beef Cuts. Kids can have their fun too with the kid-friendly options that are available as well.

Real Food Grocer serves food that are 100% free from processed ingredients, artificial preservatives and trans-fat, which makes their products last a healthy period of at most two days. Their food also come at affordable prices and we should add that their 3-ingredient pancakes are a hit with the kids! Oh, their yoghurt is made from scratch as well.

Opened by 5 sisters in January 2007, Sunny Choice's serves mostly neutral/organic food and products. They offer a wide range of menu items including healthy twists of favourites such as the Pineapple Fried Rice, Bibimbap and the very interesting, Fruits and Vegetables Rojak.

Their cafe is located right next to their product store which sells fruits, vegetables, baby food and milk powder and beauty products as well!

The Living Cafe

The Living Cafe (TLC) is started by nutritionist Dana Heather who inspires to introduce every customer and visitor to the benefits of healthy eating through their menu. They also cater to birthday parties, private events and private catering as well.

Additionally, TLC organises cooking courses for both adults and children and they come in different levels of learning.
