As the holy month of Ramadan commences, FairPrice stores across Singapore are extending a warm gesture to their Muslim customers.
From March 12 to April 9, 2024, a total of 61 FairPrice stores will be providing complimentary dates, snacks, and beverages to those observing the fast.

This initiative, now in its 16th year, has become a cherished tradition for FairPrice stores. It aims to support Muslim customers during the sacred period of Ramadan by offering refreshments to break their fast. The supermarket chain recognizes the significance of this religious observance and seeks to create a welcoming environment for all.
Ramadan Refreshments at FairPrice Stores
Muslim customers visiting the participating FairPrice stores will receive a set comprising a drink, such as milk, an isotonic beverage, or water, and a snack item like dates, beef slices, or biscuits. These refreshments will be available 30 minutes before and after iftar, the evening meal that marks the end of the daily fast.

To accommodate the anticipated demand, FairPrice stores have prepared a staggering 60,000 sets of these Ramadan refreshments. This generous offering ensures that Muslim customers can break their fast with ease and convenience while shopping at their local FairPrice stores.

Vipul Chawla, the Chief Executive of FairPrice Group, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support Muslim customers through this community engagement initiative. He emphasized the group’s commitment to keeping essential items accessible to all during this festive season.
In addition to the Ramadan refreshments, FairPrice stores have planned several other activities to celebrate the occasion. Two Hari Raya block parties will be held on April 20 in Bedok North and Bukit Batok, offering halal bentos, games, and food and drink sampling to residents.
Furthermore, FairPrice stores will host two Hari Raya Mini Bazaars showcasing a variety of halal offerings from local brands, including cooked food, cooking pastes, snacks, and beverages. These bazaars will take place at the Woodlands 888 branch from March 14 to 20 and the FairPrice Xtra at AMK Hub from March 21 to 27.

To ensure that Muslim shoppers have access to essential items during this festive period, FairPrice is offering special discounts and promotions until April 17, 2024. These include discounts on various assortments of dates, baking essentials, cleaning supplies, and Hari Raya snacks.
