So Changi Airport’s newest terminal, Terminal 4 or T4, has started operations, and we hear it’s swanky and super cool!
Among many things, Changi Airport Terminal 4 features new technologies such as a facial recognition system that will capture a passenger’s photo at different stations, centralised security screening, as well as start-to-end self-service options for check-in.
A spacious and transparent terminal interior allows well-wishers to see loved ones all the way to the boarding gates!
Airlines like Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Cebu Pacific, Spring Airlines, the AirAsia group and Vietnam Airlines operate from T4.
But did you know that apart from making travel a lot easier, there are plenty of freebies to enjoy before boarding the plane at Changi Airport Terminal 4? Let’s check them out!
1.Immersive Wall
Airport queues just got exciting!
Located at the Centralised Security area, a 70m by 5m LED display entertains passengers waiting at the security screening queues. This Immersive Wall showcases Singapore’s skyline and Changi‘s connectivity to ASEAN destinations.
The little ones are sure to be amazed!
2. Tea tasting
There’s nothing to match tea as a refreshing drink.
Well then, head to TWG Tea store at Changi Airport Terminal 4.
Get the little one to figure out how many tea tins are stacked on the walls. (The answer is 2000!)
Watch a tea brewing demonstration, at the end of which, you get to sample a cup of their single-estate, fine harvest teas and exclusive blends from across the globe.
3. Drinks galore
Alcohol lovers are gonna love it at T4!
Bartenders at the The Cocktail Bar @DFS will show how to mix special cocktails, and yes, you can enjoy tastings too!
DFS also has their very own Whiskey House where guests can enjoy free tasting of over 130 different kinds of whiskey.
If you prefer craft beer, head straight to The Craft Collection, where you can try out beer, on tap! They even come with local names like Sibeh Ho, Tok Gong etc.
4. Peranakan love story

Catch the Peranakan Love Story at the Heritage zone, a short 6 minute musical film by Dick Lee, which stars popular local artistes Benjamin Kheng, Koh Cheng Mun and Adrian Pang.
Peranakan Love Story is a tale of two young adults, who are neighbours, set in Singapore in the 1930s. The story ends with a grand, traditional Peranakan wedding.
It is fascinating to watch 2 “shophouses” at the Heritage area transform into an LED screen for the show. 🙂
5. Test fly drones
Fulfill your drone-flying ambitions at electronics store E-Gadget, where you can test-fly drones within the (netted) Safe Flying Zone!
6. Steel in Bloom Garden and Koi fish pond

Changi Airport Terminal 4 is a plant lover’s paradise.
More than 340 species of plants span across the terminal, including a greenwall façade draped with 16,000 plants. There are also many varieties of figs from China, India and Southeast Asia that line the Avenue of Trees on the departure level.
There are plenty of Instagram-worthy spots too! Check out the Steel in Bloom Garden which features a 6m high steel structure with multi-coloured lighting and air plants, and the kiddie favourite, koi fish pond.
7. Try the cool chairs

If all you want to do is it down and relax, there are plenty of cool and comfy chairs too.
The little ones will enjoy relaxing on the ‘puppy chairs’ or trying out the fancy looping ones. While they are at it, maybe snap a picture or two? 🙂
