Celebrate Earth Day With Bambino.sg X OETEO's Sustainable Baby Clothing Subscription Box

3 min read

In celebration of the upcoming Earth Day, Singapore’s first baby clothes subscription service Bambino.sg will debut a collaboration with homegrown baby clothing store OETEO. Established in March 2020, the start-up prides itself on dressing infants in a sustainable manner that doesn’t sacrifice style, fit, or quality.

As proud parents of two-year-old Elliot, Bambino.sg founders Ethan Ow and Gong Suk Yee understood the joys and challenges of shopping for a new-born. Being new to parenthood, they soon realised how quickly their son outgrew his outfits. Aside from the stress of having to decipher inconsistent sizing from various brands, they also had to find a way to store and rid of the outgrown clothing.

Their solution? A smart and hassle-free clothing subscription service that offer parents access to 10 pieces of baby clothing from just S$25 per month. As part of the subscription model, each’s baby’s growth is tracked using an Artificial Intelligence model that accurately predicts his or her changing needs, ensuring that appropriately sized outfits are included in each month’s box throughout the little one’s growing journey. Designed for new-borns up to 24 months old, each subscription box features high quality and essential baby clothes made from cotton, including a mix of long and short-sleeved onesies, as well as two-piece sets. To ensure best fit, customers can also opt to change the clothing size of each box at any point of time during the subscription period.

Built on the steadfast belief that dressing one’s baby doesn’t have to be expensive or hurt the environment, Bambino.sg is constantly on the lookout for new and innovative ways to keep parenthood fun, affordable, yet sustainable. Its latest collaboration with OETEO came about as both brands were aligned in their desire to bring top quality baby clothing to parents in a fuss-free manner.

As a start, existing subscribers will be able to opt in for a complimentary upgrade to an OETEO X Bambino.sg subscription pack, which includes five pieces of OETEO baby clothing. From May 1, the OETEO x Bambino.sg subscription pack will be officially launched for both new and existing customers at just S$49.90 per month.

Key pieces include stylish and comfortable day-to-day clothes from OETEO’s Essential Tee and Ocean Waves collections. The latter draws inspiration from marine life and includes an array of organic patterns reminiscent of oceanic waves and sea creatures, encouraging parents and their little ones to start conversations about the earth and our relationship with nature.

Suk Yee says: “In the long run, we hope to introduce more apparels and designs with functionality that match our eco-friendly vision. By subscribing, parents can have a taster of different product range & their quality before deciding if it’s suitable for their little ones.”

To date, the Bambino.sg community has helped to conserve 5.8 mil cubic meter of water and 5.6 ton of CO2 through extending the lifespan of baby clothes. The collaboration between OETEO and Bambino.sg allows high-quality pieces to be worn and enjoyed for as long as possible—especially when outgrown baby clothes get passed onto other parents instead of going to the landfill.
