Materials required:

  • Yellow, blue, black and grey Card Paper
  • Moveable eyes(You can remove them from any small old toy)
  • Glue
  • Black tassel
  • Scale
  • Cutter
  • Paper Puncher.

Step one: Trim yellow cardstock to 2 ¼ x 7 inches. Trim the corner of the top of your yellow paper to give them curvy edges. The blue cardstock for the overalls will be 2 ¼ x 2 ¾ inches. Glue the blue paper on top of the yellow.

Step two: Cut blue paper at an angle to create straps for the overalls. They don’t have to be perfect.

Step three: Apply a black strip of cardstock for the goggles. Cut the grey card papers into circular shape and glue them of the black strip of the goggles. Glue the eyes on top of the grey circles. Use a small piece of black paper to create the mouth. Minions have different facial expressions so get creative and have fun with this step!

Step four: Use your Paper Puncher to make a small hole punch at the top. Tie your tassel on and you’re done!

Materials required:

  • Baby food jar (any small jar also works)
  • Yellow acrylic paint
  • Black permanent marker

Step 1: Remove the lid of the glass jar and thoroughly clean it. Pour the paint into the jar (simply fill with enough paint to completely cover the sides when shaken).

Step 2: Put the lid back on the jar, making sure that it is properly seated and sealed. Shake the jar until the inside is thoroughly coated with paint. Remove the lid and pour out the excess paint.

Step 3: Draw a face using your black permanent marker. You don’t have to be an amazing artist to pull this off–the beauty of LEGO is its simplicity.  Add a beard, an eye patch, glasses, or anything else that strikes you. Have fun with it!

Materials Required:

  • Empty plastic water bottles
  • Scissors
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • 16 gauge floral stem wire

Step One:  Start by removing the label from your bottles. You can leave the caps on for now. Next, use a sharp pair of scissors to cut around the top ring of the bottle. You are just going to use the top portion of the bottle. Recycle the rest.

Step Two: For a five-petaled flower, make five, evenly spaced cuts from the cut edge to as close to the spout as possible. Tip: You can make flowers with more petals by making up to 8, evenly spaced cuts in this manner. Fold down the petals, almost like you are turning the bottle inside out. Use a scissors to round off the edges of each petal. Remove the bottle cap, but do not throw it away. If there is still a thin ring on your bottle that held the cap in place, remove it as well.

Step 3: Set the flower on a protected surface, spout up. The petals should curve up like little cups. Apply one or two coats of acrylic paint to the petals. If you use more than one colour, make sure that each section of paint is completely dry before you add the next colour or they will get smeared up. Let the paint dry

Step 4: Replace the cap. There should be a small gap between the lid and the bottle where the protective ring used to be. To make the stem, wrap an end of the floral wire tightly around the gap beneath the lid. Straighten out the stem and place your flowers in a pot or the garden.
